Theme Images

    I am sorry to ask what I am sure is a dumb question, but I edited my theme and have a background image on the form and page. However, when I inserted the code, there are no images. Of course, I realize the images need to be uploaded somewhere. I wasn't 100% sure where they needed to be. I placed them in the same folder as the php file. Please assist. Thank you.

    Oh, I see the location for them, and I see they are there. I also have https in there, which seems fine. Yet the images are not showing. Any thoughts?

    @mystik: If you would explain what you are doing in more detail, it would help us figure out how to solve your problem. I assume you are trying to insert a custom background image into a theme using the theme editor. You are going into the theme editor, opening your theme and clicking on the Backgrounds "tab". Then you are clicking on the C button, Form Background. Then you are choosing the final choice, Custom Image, and you see a text field with the label, Enter Your Image URL:. Into this field you can put any location you like to which you can upload a file, for example: "https://www.mywebserver.com/machform/custom_images/happyface.jpg". (You would have to create the "custom_images" folder yourself. The URL doesn't have to be in the Machform directory, it can be in any web directory to which you can upload an image. It will probably work the best if it is on the same server as Machform, however. Otherwise you may see security warnings when the form is displayed.) If you paste the URL you have placed here into the address bar of a browser, the image should be displayed. If not, then the image file wasn't uploaded properly.

    If my assumption about what you are doing is incorrect, then please describe what you are actually doing in a comparable amount of detail. If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Thank you for the reply! That's all correct except it didn't set to a custom_images folder, and it did upload the file. Here's an example of one of them:

    https://www.algadon.com/machform/data/themes/images/img_640cdca5d6d7da58b1451c85ab2e1a07-bkg.png

    This is on the same server as the form. The form is here:

    https://www.algadon.com/holiday-gift/

    It looks like everything is good, except two background images are not showing.

    Sorry, I had changed the order form URL. Here's the one in question:

    https://www.algadon.com/holiday-gift/index2.php

    I can do the main background by just adding it to the page body tag like this:

    <body background="https://www.algadon.com/machform/data/themes/images/img_640cdca5d6d7da58b1451c85ab2e1a07-bkg.png">

    I don't know what I would need to do for the other one, though. The link for that image is:

    I was mistaken in part of what I told you. I had forgotten that Machform now uploads the image for you automatically into the default image directory. In older versions you had to upload the image yourself and manually copy and paste the image URL into a text field. The current functionality is much more user friendly, but doesn't let you choose the directory the image is placed into.

    If you are embedding your form into a web page, rather that viewing the standalone form, then the theme you created and assigned to the form will not be shown. This is the expected behavior. It is intended to make your form blend into the page you are embedding it into. You would have to add the custom background image to the page you are embedding the form into for it to show up under these circumstances.

    Okay, thank you. I will just use the link found in the simple link code. I didn't even think about that. Cool.

    So, my last question then is... How/where do I change the "MachForm" text at the top?
