Submission Confirmation - Show Text: Not Working

I have come across the following problem that my form is not showing the confirmation message and also generates a php error.
I have the following settings:
Submission Confirmation
Show Text checkedAfter submitting the form the success message does not show but rather redirects back to the form page. Checking my server error logs, I see the following:
[04-May-2011 23:41:28] PHP Warning: Unknown: open(/tmp/sess_5511f135cd7316fe20e2cd9fc68a5b3d, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0 [04-May-2011 23:41:28] PHP Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0
The form does work as I receive it normally.
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

After doing some more testing, this problem seems to arise when using the "PHP Embed Code"
Using the javascript code the page functions as it should.

Hi Allan, try to disable the email option of your form. Does that solve the issue?
If so, most likely there is some problem with the email settings. Some hosting companies require the usage of SMTP server to be able sending email. You might want to try configure your MachForm to use SMTP server.

Hi Yuniar
Many thanks for your prompt reply.
I have spent the evening testing your suggestion with no luck.
I am using SMTP and checked a number of times that I had the settings correct.
Then I stumbled on the problem - in the From Email Address setting on the Send Notifications to Inbox block, I have a "noreply@" address specified.
Changed that to the correct field and now it all works fine.Awesome product by the way - it has transformed our website and communication with members.
Thank you so much

I'm having the same issue with the submission page not showing, even though the box is checked. I just upgraded to version 3.5, thinking this may correct the issue. The form works and sends the information but this isn't apparent to the user, so we're getting multiple entries from the same person.
