SMTP Configuration

I have recently purchased the software and installed it. I have created an RSVP form and trying to send confirmation emails to the attendees. However, none of the emails are going out.

I have configured SMTP, but still no luck sending emails. I have no idea where to look for any log files for errors etc.,

Can one of the support team please help?

    Thanks.

Further to the above, I noticed that "Delay notifications until paid" was enabled (which is required in my case). However, the situation I now have is not all users will want to buy our services, instead they may just attend our event.

How do we handle this situation with in the forms? The form is used as RSVP and Booking any services during the event. Not all people who attend will buy our services, but we need to handle this scenario in the form.

    Can you please advise?

    Thanks.

I don't think this has anything to do with your email set up. You can test this if you like; set up a test form, with some simple fields, set up SMTP (or use the sendmail/php mail option?); set up the email to be received by you, as both "admin" and "user" so you would get both the auto-response to "user" and the notification to "admin" at the same email address - that will at least prove the email is workking and receiving the messages.

I suspect what you need to do is use the Conditional Logic feature to skip the payment page depending on the response to a field defined in your form, and to the conditional logic rules you define. That means choosing one option will just submit the form (that where the user only wants to attend the event) or otherwise, the user enters payment info, and the notification is delayed until payment is processed).

    http://www.appnitro.com/blog-conditional-logic-field-page

What version are you using - Conditional Logic for show/hide fields and Skip Pages has been in Machform since 3.4 - the current version is 4.6

    For example:

You have two radio button options:

    1 - Attend Event Only
    2 - Attend Event + Purchase Services

For option (1), you need to set up the conditional logic to skip the payment page. Therefore it will only collect the information in the first part of the form, skip the payment, and go directly to the Submission Confirmation before the user submits the form. That should send you the notificaiton immediately since it won't enoke the "Delay Notification until Paid" option since no payment is processed with option (1) chosen. The payment process will only be actioned if option (2) is chosen.

YOu could do the same thing a variety of ways, e.g. present the options in a drop-down field, or even with check box (one option) that says "attend event only" and if left unchecked assumes the user wants to purchase services.

Set up the logic in the same way.

But first read the Documentation so you get familiar with it, and if you wish, play with Appnitro.com Demo

Anything more specific to your question, suggest you contact Appnitro directly e.g. if needing help setting up the Logic rules etc.
