Protect sensitive information in working groups

How to prevent people from my company with access to FTP where it was installed Machform can not see the password in the config.php file?

If pasword-protect that folder, all my forms will be password protected too, and I would not like that

I want to protect sensitive information such as databases of thousands of emails.
So I think to disable the export function would be the solution. How can I do this and still have the option of exporting again at certain times?

If I understand you correctly, you want to limit your users to some folders when they use FTP?

Give them their own FTP account; this way you can restrict them to only the folders you want them to have access to. Thefore they won't be able to see the machform folder (or config.php) if that folder is 'denied' to them by you.

This "CPanel" tutorial below demonstrates how to restrict access by setup of individual FTP accounts.

Many hosts allow the client to set up several FTP accounts - how many depends on the level of hosting and what the host has set up for their client. If you don't use CPanel or similar with your hosting, talk to your host support about this issue - they either will probably then need to setup the FTP themselves.
