Populate form from database

Can I create a query inside of Machform to generate query responses on an ID? For instance, if the member already has an application on file, they would type their ID number and all the fields related to that number will populate the form. I know I could use the WHERE..... in the query function, but how can I use Machform to generate this query? Once the information is found the member would have the ability to make changes as needed, i.e, address change, etc. If ID not found, message of "No record found" would alert the member an online form must be filled out.

Also, after information is found to make sure the information is kept secure, I would like to have a pop up form asking for the ID used during initial creation of account. If this information is correct, then the form will be populated, if not a message would state incorrect ID and send the user back to the website.

I'm afraid this one would require lot of custom code. Which we can't help much with. Sorry.
I suggest to hire programmer to do this.
