Plugins

Just an idea: some requests for features may not be considered necessary by a majority of the people who use your app. Also, it would drive up the price of the basic app and unnecessarily bloat it. If you can somehow develop these features as plugins, users can then customize MachForm for their needs. Of course, for an additional fee. You could also set up "package deals" for plugins that are frequently purchased together.

    Thank you for your suggestion.
Plugin seems to be a nice idea indeed.

Now we need to figure out what features should be implemented as plugins.

    My wish list:

    1. provide a password field in the forms
    2. conditional rules in the form - useful with drop downs, across multiple fields
    3. allow use of custom SQL queries through a properties file and use of additional tables.

Maybe you could set up a survey page with a list of planned features and options such as "must have," "don't need," "might use occasionally" and leave a blank field for write-ins. Of course, limit to one IP. Otherwise, you're guessing.

While MachForm is a great core app, you might do some research in different fields that have unique needs and build plugins to address specific markets, e.g., software development, ecommerce, registration forms. Online forms need to provide a complete communications solution between a user and a company.

Ecommerce seems to be a big one and I could see where you could create a spinoff app geared towards this market segment.

Same with registration forms: there needs to be a way to not only sign up for courses & seminars, but to also pay for them. Frequently, a person may want to sign up for more than one course and having fields with simple js calculations would be incredible. These would also be very useful for simple purchase orders and invoice forms.

Having at least PayPal and Google Checkout functionality means that a ton of small businesses could use MachForm.
