permissions

    I am trying to back up the files on the server but I get an error message when I try to ftp the individual files (that people have uploaded) across from the data folder. Here is the heirachy and permissions.

    form rwx r-x r-x
    data rwx rwx rwx
    form1 rwx rwx rwx
    files rwx rwx rwx

    Each file in the "files" directory is rw-- --- ---

    Please tell me what I can do to fix this. Thanks.

    Error message:

    "FTP error occurred - cannot get element_10-2008-JResumeII.doc. Access denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem."

    Try to change the permission of all files under your "data" folder to CHMOD 755.
    If that doesn't solve the issue, try to change it to CHMOD 777.
