2. Improved, Full Drag and Drop Form Builder
We dumped the old code and rewrite the whole thing. The result? A whole lot faster form builder interface and more fluid workflow. You can now add a new field into your form by dragging the field from the sidebar into the form preview page.
A new field, matrix field, has been added and the other field types has been improved with more options.
More details for each field soon! Here is video demo of the new form builder:

Hi, this update is looking very good. I'm interested to become a beta tester of Machform v3.
ThanksPosted 12 years ago # -
I'm also interested to be a beta tester. Do you also plan to make it multilingual? If so I can translate all strings to my native language. :)
It would be also nice to browse form entries using datatables script (not only from admin panel).

3. Multi-Page Form
Ever need to create a huge form? Having a form with 100 fields packed into a single page doesn't look so good. In fact, it's a pain for the user who fill the form.
Now you can split your form into as many pages as you want!
There is no strict limit with the number of fields you can add into the form. You can have like 500 fields into a single form and split the form into 10 pages or so by adding the "Page Break" field.
This functionality is better described with this video below:

4. Payment Processor Integration
You can now create form which collect payments. Prices can be assigned to fields such as dropdown, text, checkboxes, or multiple choice and MachForm will automatically calculate the total amount of payment to be charged.
As of v3.0, only PayPal Standard currently supported. Other payment processors (such as Authorize.net and Google Checkout) is coming soon within the next minor version updates (which is a free update).
Below is the screenshot of the payment settings page:

Man, I can't wait for this new version. Looks just plain awesome!
I'd like to beta test it, but afraid of bugs and complications in a LIVE environment.
If you created the payment gateways as "modules" - we could create our own. For instance, I'm sure you've never heard of our gateway: Skipjack. Which in that case, I could create my own module for that gateway and integrate it with Machform.

Just out of interest, what are the minimum system requirements for V 3.0?
My host currently has: PHP 5.2.17, MySQL 5.0.92-community, Apache Version 2.2.17 (cPanel / Linux Hosting).
My test server on localhost (WAMP Server): PHP 5.3.8, Apache 2.2.21, MySQL 5.5.16 (Win 7).
Thanks.

jhinkle -- thank you for the feedback regarding the module system!
andrew -- MachForm v3 require the following:
- PHP 5.2 or higher
- MySQL 4.1 or higherMost hosting companies nowadays should support them already. Yours works great.

Since the code is new, how will an old version integrate? Will the data folder just be copied like before? What about existing forms too?

Yuniar - I'm a professional tester, and happy to test the installation, UI and functional stuff against a local website.
Are you able to provide a stubbed gateway environment for the online payments side?
Also you'll need to supply information to assist in the test process. If you're happy to do this, then I can assist.Posted 12 years ago #
