   I have all relevant files uploaded to the domain in which I want this installed

   http://www.domainname.com/machform/installation

   When I try and run this I get a download dialogue box rather than it running the installation. Preceding this I have changed permissions on that 'data' dir.

   Any clue as to why I'm getting the download dialogue box?

   the file is actually installer.php and not installation - sorry

   the correct path would be

   http://www.domainname.com/machform/installer.php

   Have you rename "config-empty.php" file to "config.php" and set your database information in there ? You can refer to this url for details (No. 2) :
