Installer returning "0"

I've set up the database, set the permission as instructed, updated the config.php file as required, and when I run the installer.php I get nothing but a "0" (zero) in the upper left of my browser window. I have tried Internet Explorer as well as my default browser Firefox (version 15). Running Windows 7 ultimate, 32 bit.
Suggestions?

Try to create a file named "info.php" and put this code inside of it:
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
then run the file. Are you getting the same error?
If so, most likely the PHP on your server is not being enabled yet.MachForm Founder

Found it was running version 4. Now running 5.2 and receive the following:
"0

Hi,
Have you able to run info.php on your website ?
If you still getting the same error, it might be there was problem on your php configuration.
You can contact your host technical support and let them know for the problem.MachForm Support
