I've gotten that error before with Godaddy. It could be because the server is a windows hosting. I switched to Linux, everything worked.

saulglennon -- what is your hosting company? It seems your hosting company has the old PHP library while the mysql server is using version 5 or above.
Do you have access to PhpMyAdmin?
rssolo23 -- so everything worked fine now?

Hi,
I use Go Daddy. It's windows hosting. I didn't have the problem with setting up database for a client's windows hosting account on Go Daddy. And yes, I have access to PhpMyAdmin.
Any suggestions with clearing this up?
Thanks!

Hi,
It seem you are using old Windows server at GoDaddy (IIS version 6).
Which unfortunately there is some problem with this old IIS 6 server when dealing with PHP. The support for this version has been deprecated by GoDaddy.
More info here:
http://help.godaddy.com/article/1277Thus, many PHP functions doesn't seem to work (including MySQL functions) and MachForm can't seem to work there either.
However, you can convert your hosting plan to Linux/Windows IIS 7 plan (choose one of them) easily from your GoDaddy control panel. Many of our customer have done this before and it takes 24-48 hours normally.
Is it possible for you to convert to Linux/Windows IIS 7 plan?
If you aren't sure, please contact GoDaddy support, they will assist you with this.

That seems to be an error from GoDaddy side. I suggest to contact GoDaddy tech support and let them know. The temporary folder for PHP session doesn't seems to be configured properly there.
