    Using Machform 2.0
    DB created using MySQL - 4.1

    Getting the following error msgs

    Warning: mysql_get_server_info() [function.mysql-get-server-info]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/usr/local/mysql-5.0/data/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/content/a/v/s/avsafe/html/v2/machform/installer.php on line 147

    Warning: mysql_get_server_info() [function.mysql-get-server-info]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/content/a/v/s/avsafe/html/v2/machform/installer.php on line 147

    X- MySQL Version >= 4.1.0
    X - Correct User and Password for MySQLAccess denied for user 'insert username here'@'68.178.254.9' (using password: YES)
    X - Establishing a Connection to Database [asp-v2]Unable to connect to MySQL

    Data folder is writable

    I have also tried this with MySQL 5.0

    I noticed the hostname for GoDaddy DB's is not 'localhost' but something with a longer name '....secureserver.net'

    Any help is appreciated in diagnosing the issue

    Thank you

    OK - got it installed OK but now when trying to save file I get message at bottom that says 'Saving file....' and it continues to stay there like it is timing out.

    Any resolution to this?

    Thank you

    Is the "data" folder permission already being set to writable? (CHMOD 777)
    If the problem persist, I'll need to login to your machform admin panel and check this further.

    Usually this is folder permission issue, or PHP Safe Mode issue.

    I am also having the same issues with installation on a godaddy server; MYSQL 5.0, 777 etc. done - what did you do to resolve this? Thank you for your assistance.
