Form logic processing at different stages

I want to design a form that users complete for applying for special leave and when form is submitted asks for approval from managers. When a user fills out the form, it gets submitted to the manager. When the manager reviews the form, he edits the form and has a choice of either approving or rejecting the request. The manager then submit this part to HR who then complete the final part with the number of days already taken. Would it be possible to create the logic in such a scenario? I have just purchased this application and it appears to be a very good product for our current requirements. I want to know if the form can hold and submit data to enable different categories of staff to process the email the original user completed.
Thanks

Machform is not really that type of application and not designed for the work-flow you describe.,
Saying that, you can edit records and update them, but no email is sent; the record is simply updated, so the work-flow stalls at that point - using your example, it will stop at the point of the manager reviewing the form and setting the approval. The HR Dept won't get any notification from Machform itself, that the record is updated. The manager could simply notify HR that he has approved or rejected the application. HR could then access the form and enter what they need to.
The logic settings only can be set to notify certain users or people based on fields set and responses entered in those fields

I believe you can manage to do that if you create some sort of hidden fields for initial users and set managers and HR as administrators (these would be able to acess hidden fields) Then you would have to create "logical conditions" for e-mail notifications depending on the options of hidden fields. I believe with some work this would be possible.

I tried the above suggestion and the logic did not work after updating. Are there any other ideas?

I'm afraid there is no simple workaround to create such kind of workflow, since MachForm wasn't really designed for that.
You'll need to do pretty much custom coding for this. I suggest to hire a PHP programmer if you would like to pursue this further.MachForm Founder
