Computed field

    Is it possible to have a computed field. I am using this to submit an add to a newspaper. The price of the ad would be determined by the number of charachters in a paragraph text field. Could I run a script to compute price and display to user and ad to email sent?

    I would also like to store the computed field result in the database if possible
