Hi,
My problem is:
I've a form and when you submit it should be redirect to the view after confirm, but now it does not work anymore and it just shows error 500.
In the form properties I checked in submission confirmation redirect to the web site and then put the form's url view with the id. Also it shows the error 500 when in form properties is checked show text.Note: In the database the register is saved no matter if shows error.
Thanks.

I am also having the same problem. Has any solution been found?
Edit: I have changed the rule to redirect after submission to a website. Still fails. Hit submit, wait for 30 seconds and then off to a 500 page. Only info i see there is:
This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

Edit #2. Restarting the webserver does not fix the problem.

Edit #3. Upgraded to version 4.8. Does NOT fix problem. On the 500 page i did hit refresh this time and ID required appears.

Edit #4. Had my computer specialist go through everything on the webserver. Cannot find any reason the form shouldn't be redirecting.

Do you have http:// before the URL? For example:
www.google.com will result in a 404
http://www.google.com will workPosted 8 years ago # -
Hi Frankzobitz:
The option for Submission Confirmation is either a message or to redirect off to a website. Neither work.

Hi Frankzobitz:
The problem is not redirecting itself, it is that the Submit button causes a 15 to 30 second delay and then goes to a 500 page. Regardless if you leave machform at a default message or have it redirect. I have left two message for support and not heard anything.

Problem solved! I sent them my login info for my host and Machform admin and they fixed it. In my case (and probably yours), the problem was a folder permission issue. Below is 3 lines from the response email they sent after fixing it :
"What we did to fix this:
1) Adjust the "File Upload Folder" path on your Settings page to use the full path.
2) Change the folder permission of the above setting "
The "File Upload Folder" path they are speaking about is in the MachForm admin panel settings (advanced options in the miscellaneous settings box). They adjusted my path to "G:\PleskVhosts\mywebsite.com\httpdocs\machform\data". Note- I use Godaddy with Windows Plesk so this may differ slightly if you use Linux or something else. Then the permission folder they changed the settings for would be the "data" folder located in your Machform folder in you hosting area. By "change" I assume they mean setting the permission to writable. And thats it. Works perfect for me. Please be aware that what I have written here is what I gathered is the fixing process based on the info from their email... so there's a chance im off.
Just to clarify - My issue was that the form worked fine but after clicking the submit button, an "Internal Error" message would be generated. I would still receive the sent message but no page redirect or confirmation message. Anyway all fixed now...hope this helps.
