Can't input text into some fields

OK, so I've downloaded and installed MachForm no probs. Just made my first form no probs. I can enter text and tab into the first 2 fields but can't enter into the 3rd field. It bounces me back to field 1. I have around 30 fields and can't click into any of the others. I've taken all 'required' ticks out to try and strip the form back to basic permissions but doesn't help.
Have tried in my own webpage and on the standalone page triggered from the control panel - confused!

I can click into and enter data into some of the other fields.
Just deleted and recreated the field. Same problem.

So now I have dropped all offending fields and the submitted my first form.
The fields dropped were single line text, address and email. I had a coulple of each.
Just tried to put 2 single line fields back in my duplicating a good field.
I get bounced at the same point.

Just added a number field - no prob
Just addess a another number field - no prob but I now can't enter data into the first name of the name field.Posted 15 years ago # -
Been adding in field one by one and saving in between.
Added a few OK. Got to adding in an address and won't accept text so removed it.
Added in an email field and that wouldn't accept text either.

Right it certianly DOES NOT like email and address fields. When I put one in it's fails to accept text.
Having to use single line text field for this info as a work around...

That's failed now. Not impressed.

Ok so I can put 3 single line text fields in the bottom of the form, save and use OK. I can then drag one up the form, save and use OK. As soon as I call it Contact Email it fails to accept text.

Just created a fresh form with just one field, email. Can't enter text into the box.
This is really starting to get frustrating.

Just tried to send a message via the support request form - same problem.
It's my PC!!! Ok from my other PC.
Not sure what the cause is.

It's Internet Explorer, OK in FireFox.

Just updated IE. All OK.
Raises the question of why/how and what happens if users of the form have the same problem.
For my part I'll put it down on my site FAQ.

Hmm.. that's weird.
We've tested using major browsers (Firefox, IE, Safari) and all worked fine.Perhaps try to reinstall your IE, or install the latest version, IE8.

I was using IE6.x now on IE8 and working fine.
Kicking myself for not checking it from another browser first - doh!

Hi!
We have the same problem with the e-mail field. Some users can't fill it, I don't know why. I wasn't able to locate which browser is affected. We receive 120 entries a day, so I think that we suffered almost all known and unknown problems :-(Angel

I've just tested your form using three different browsers (Firefox 3, IE7, Safari) and was able to enter all fields and submit to the review page.
I suggest to ask your customer for their browser version. If possible, a screenshot would help also.
Most likely the browser is damaged and need to be repaired or upgraded.

Ive just ran into this same problem - it seems to be related to trying to run IE6, IE7 and IE8 on the same PC?
I'm using parallels running XP on a mac to test sites for IE and both IE6 and IE7 standalone installed version won't let me enter text in the input fields, whereas the standard install of IE8 will (inc. safari and firefox) ..
I'll have to look into this further, but does this make any sense based on your similar issues?

I had the issue (as posted above) with IE6 but cleared up after an upgrade to IE8. The curious thing is that I have a PHP page builder application. The page I built is formatted as expected when viewed in IE8 and Firefox but on my works laptop running IE6 the input box is half way down the page rather than the top.
I really do think that IE6 doesn't like PHP. Also as a test try to rename your fields not using the words email or address as from memory those labels seemed to trigger the inability to type in the data.
