Can you rename the machform filename?

Hi,
Currently Machform is uploaded on our website (http://www.example.com/machform/). An example of a form we have created: http://www.example.com/machform/view.php?id=1
Two questions:
1. Can we rename the Machform folder to something else, such as registration? Example: http://www.example.com/registration/?2. Can we change the ID number? I know it is tied into a lot of code, but didn't know if this could be done. Example: http://www.example.com/registration/view.php?id=CompanyName
Thanks.

1) Yes, you can rename your machform folder to any name.
2) The id number can't be changed. However, you can change the whole form URL. Simply create an empty PHP or HTML file. Let say: http://www.example.com/company_form.php
Then put your form embed code into that file.
This way, your customer won't notice the ID numbers.MachForm Founder

This is great news. Can you give me detailed instructions on how to do #2? I am not sure how to create the file you speak of. Than you!

You can create a file from your favorite text editor (notepad++, notepad, wordpad) then save it with file extension PHP.
After that simply put "advance embed code" that you get from machform admin.MachForm Support

Couple follow-up questions:
1. Notepad will not let me save http://www.example.com/company_form.php as a file name. Am I doing something wrong here?
2. Where do I save the file once I create it?Posted 15 years ago # -
Ok, sorry I was being a bit dumb there. I created the file and saved it. It looks like the CSS did not follow I will email you are follow-up. Thanks.

Can you please explain how you achieved this, I am having the same confusion on how to save the php file and upload it.

You can use any text editor to create the PHP file. Simply create a file and give it a name such as "myform.php".
Then you can upload it using your FTP program.
